Description
University of Houston-Clear Lake invites applications and nominations for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Education Research, with a specialization in Qualitative Research starting Fall, 2022.
Duties:
Teach undergraduate, master's, and doctoral courses from areas such as qualitative research methodology and program evaluation.
Develop curriculum and maintain an active research and publication agenda.
Supervise graduate students in a variety of settings.
Serve on master's theses and doctoral dissertations as well as university committees and other service activities.
Maintain collegial relationships.
QualificationsRequired:
Earned doctorate with a primary interest in qualitative research. Exceptional ABD candidates will also receive consideration.
A demonstrated record of research, scholarly publications and grant writing or a clear indication of potential success in these areas.
Excellent oral communication skills in English.
Desired:
- Credentials to teach in both research and another teaching field.
- Public school teaching experience.
- Experience teaching doctoral courses and serving on dissertation committees.
